What Is Drivers?


A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or devices. Without drivers, the hardware you connect to your computer—for example, a video card or a printer—won't work properly. At times, hardware might not work properly either due to being corrupted by a virus or incorrectly updated software. 

How To Install windows drivers Manually

Follow These steps To Install Drivers Manually :

For Windows 7 :


1. Click on Start.



2. Type device manager in the search bar.



3. Choose Device manager from the listed options.
(For Steps after this please refer to the ‘Note’ mentioned in the following part.)

For Windows 8:


1. Open the Start Screen.



2. Type device manager.



3. From the right panel, select Settings



4. Choose Device Manager.

(Note: Further steps are same for Windows 7 as well.)

Download the Drivers from the manufacturer’s website. Search where it offers to download the drivers. Download the driver and select Save. It is recommended to save it on external media.

5. Hover to the Device Manager.



6. Right-Click on the device to install drivers.

7. Choose Update Driver Software.



8. Select Browse my computer for driver software.



9. Tap the Browse button on the right.



10. Choose the location to which the drivers were saved and then OK.



11. Tap Next.



12. The driver software will get installed on your system.

After following these steps, you could easily install device driver manually in Windows 7 and 8.
