How to open Internet Explorer in Windows 10



Microsoft Edge is the default browser in Windows 10. But if you prefer to use IE, then this post will show you how to open Internet Explorer in Windows 10 and how you can pin it to your Start Menu or Taskbar for easy access and how you can even set it as your default web browser.


Open Internet Explorer in Windows 10



1. In the Windows 10 taskbar search, type Internet Explorer and you will see it appear in the results.

2. Clicking on it will open Microsoft Internet Explorer. 

To repin Internet Explorer to Start


(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.) 

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. 

2. Enter Internet Explorer in the search box. 

3. In the search results, press and hold Internet Explorer, and then tap Pin to Start. 

(If you're using a mouse, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Pin to Start.) 

To repin Internet Explorer to the taskbar


1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. 

(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.) 

2. Enter Internet Explorer in the search box. 

3. In the search results, swipe down on the Internet Explorer icon, and then tap Pin to taskbar. 

(If you're using a mouse, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Pin to taskbar.) 

Set IE as default browser in Windows 10 


If you use it frequently, you can set it as your default browser using steps given blow : 
1. Click on Internet Options.

2. Then click on Programs tab.

3. Go to Internet programs.

4. Click on Set programs. 

5. Control Panel will open. You can set Internet Explorer as the default browser under Set your Default Programs applet.
